*EDIT 23.11.20 Nursery & Reception COVID19 Positive Case

22nd November 2020Mr Bennett
*EDIT 23.11.20
Nursery & Reception COVID19 Positive Case
NURSERY – ALL 30 HOUR PUPILS
RECEPTION – RGB AND IDENTIFIED PUPILS FROM RKL AND RLN
Dear Parents and Carers,
There has been confirmed case of COVID-19 within the school in our Early Years setting and we need to update you with the following information.
We have carried out a full risk assessment having spoken to Local Authority Public Health Advisors.
The children who attend nursery for 30 hours and pupils in RGB – Miss Beattie, have been identified as in close contact with the case. In line with the national guidance we recommend that your child now stays at home and self-isolate until Saturday 5th December, when they may stop isolating. Your child must not go to school or any public areas: your child must remain at home. Further details of what your child needs to do are in NHS Guidance:
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing-for-coronavirus/nhs-test-and-trace-if-youve-been-in-contact-with-a-person-who-has-coronavirus/
All pupils are to return to school Monday 7th December.
Siblings of pupils in RGB and those children in RKL and RLN should attend school as normal, unless you have received a message to self isolate your child.
Siblings of 30 hour nursery pupils and those children who are morning or afternoon only, should attend school as normal.
Please take assurance that no children have tested positive.
We are asking you to do this to reduce the further spread of COVID 19 to others in the community. If you need support with isolation, please contact your local Council.
Other members of your household can continue normal activities provided your child does not develop symptoms within the self-isolation period.
What to do if your child develops symptoms of COVID 19
For most people, especially children, COVID-19 will be a mild illness.
The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are recent onset of:
· new continuous cough and/or
· high temperature and/or
· a loss of, or change in, normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)
If your child develops any of these symptoms of COVID-19, they should remain at home and arrangements should be made for them to be tested. At that time all other household members must also stay at home, not go to work, school or public areas, even for exercise.
Testing can be arranged by calling 119 or via the NHS website: nhs.uk/coronavirus
When the result of the child’s test is known further advice will be available.
How to stop COVID-19 spreading
There are things you can do to help reduce the risk of you and anyone you live with getting ill with COVID-19:
wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds
use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
wash your hands as soon as you get home
cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze put used tissues in the bin immediately and wash your hands afterwards

Further information is available at nhs.uk/coronavirus

4.11.20 Face Masks

4th November 2020Mr Bennett

4.11.20 Face Masks

Dear parents, as we enter Lockdown 2.0 we have asked our staff to wear facemasks when waiting with children to leave the school premises at the end of the day and when there is a possibility of being in contact with other adults outside of school.
As our site is very tight, we now ask that parents/carers also wear a face mask when on site,  likely to be in close proximity to other adults or when wishing to speak to staff.
Situations would include the paths leading from and to Mortimer Road and the drop off/pick up areas for all children.
These requests are not mandatory, but we believe they help us to look after each other as best we can, whilst ensuring the ongoing education of your children.
Pupils are not included in this request.
Thank you for your continued support.

22nd October 2020Mr Bennett

22.10.20 Year 6 COVID19 Positive Case and Closure

Apologies for the late announcement- we have worked as quickly as we can.

Unfortunately, our text/app message service (Teachers2Parents) is unable to send messages this evening. They are aware of the fault and are trying to correct it.

Please share with parents of 6RD – Mrs Douglas so they can read the information regarding isolation of their child.

Direct messages will be sent as soon as the service comes back on line.
