Bright Owls
Wrap Around at Mortimer Primary School
Following the news of Bright Kids closing, we have been working to find a solution that will support our families who rely on wrap around child care and provide a service within our walls.
What we aim to offer
We are planning to offer both before and after school care within the school premises.
Early Owls Session – from 7:45am until school begins
Night Owls Session – after school care until 5:45
How will parents book?
Via Parent Pay, which we use for lunch and trip payments at present. A new function will be added to allow bookings to sessions.
How much will it cost?
Our initial prices will be per child as:
Early Owls
Night Owls
How can I pay?
Payment to be made on Parent pay. We can accept vouchers, but notification is needed prior to booking.
How many spaces are there?
Our maximum capacity will be 36 pupils in both sessions.
Will there be food?
Yes. For breakfast, we aim to offer toast and cereal. After school will be a light meal and snacks.
When will it start?
We are hoping to run a soft start in the 2nd summer half term. There are several changes we need to make to the school building and premises to ensure the provision can run safely and effectively. A start date will be dictated by key work being completed.
Who will the staff be?
We are looking to have staff who are well known to the children in place.
What else do I need to know?
We will inform parents of our start date – there will be plenty of notice. These are our initial plans and may be subject to change.
