Guess my role!

11th January 2019A Stelling

The junior children acted as ‘detectives’ to guess the jobs of several professionals who came in to school. The visitors (a nurse, doctor, electrician and firefighter) then gave overviews of their jobs. They told the children that they can do anything they put their minds to as long as they work hard and try their best! A very inspiring assembly!

Goodbye Mr Seagrove!

21st December 2018A Stelling

We had to say a sad farewell to Mr Seagrove today, who has been head teacher at Mortimer Primary School for 18 years. He will be greatly missed by all.

We held a special whole school assembly this morning to wish him luck in his next chapter.

Here are a few pictures from the assembly and the children in classes this morning.

Many of our lovely parents held a collection for Mr Seagrove and this is the video of him being presented with the presents. He was ever so grateful to all who contributed and would like to say a huge thank you to all.

The children also sang one of Mr Seagrove favourite songs for him at the end of the assembly as a special surprise.
