Our STEM Week kicked off with a bang!
Congratulations to our A Team who won the High 5 School Games South Tyneside Finals. Not only did they win all their games, they were excellent team players and exceptionally well-behaved. Well done!
This week we had a visit from Evie and Beth who are students at Newcastle University. Evie is currently studying Maths and Beth studies Civil Engineering. The pair delivered an assembly to all of our KS2 children which focused on how the world began and its development through time. The assembly included lots of exciting experiments which the children thoroughly enjoyed.
All children had a great time and we would like to thank Newcastle University for providing us with such an enriching experience.
Science Club got off to to bang today or should we say cluck!
The children are looking forward to next week’s session.
Pupils in reception enjoyed Mr Bennett popping into to work with them on their phonics this morning. Mr Bennett was so impressed by the focus and enthusiasm from all children.
Y4 have had a fantastic day to end their topic on the Vikings, two viking experts visited the year group to share their knowledge and to provide the children with hands on experience tasting food, seeing clothing and weaponry.
A great day was had by all!
Please ask at the office if you did not receive it. Click here to read the covering letter.
This is a video showing how one child achieves such high speeds on TTRock stars, consistently achieving that fastest speeds in our school. Being recorded did put him off a little, as he regularly scores over 100!
We are very proud to have a growing number of children working at this speed!
