Hello everyone, it’s Mrs Cunningham here again.
29.6.20 Key Worker & Priority Sign up
6th July – 16th July
Key Workers
Please read before signing up.
This is the final sign up for this term. The last two weeks are covered. We are only open 4 days in each week with Friday closed to all children.
We encourage you to sign up for Phase Three return, which looks increasing like being a 2 days in 2 groups offer. (To be confirmed), as your main offer for your child’s week.
Phase Three
Yrs 3 & 5 w/b 6th July
Yrs 2 & 4 w/b 13th July
The form is slightly more detailed with space for you to add extra info. It should be completed for every child. Key worker can access in the alternative week to a class return but not in the same week.
Anyone who has not used key worker care before should not apply.
We have removed the sign up for 4 days and allowed individual days to be selected.
Where we are oversubscribed, we will prioritise who will have access.
The form will close Wednesday 1st July at 1pm

Priority Year Groups – Nursery, Reception, Year 1 & Year 6
Groups appear to have settled. Please use the form to indicate that you are happy for your child to continue for the next two weeks in their groups.
We will only need to review the groups if there is a large change in numbers.
Children who haven’t attended yet are welcome to submit a form and we will place into established groups wherever possible.
Year 6 – The last week of term will change for year 6 pupils. We be offering a slightly different opportunity to each class. More details to follow. Parents of year 6 children can ignore the question about the week beginning the 13th July.

Hello everyone, it’s Mrs Cunningham here again.
What a windy weekend! Sam doesn’t like windy weather. He spent the day sitting at the back door trying to summon up his courage to go out, then when there was a drop in the wind he ventured out only to run straight back in, with a bushy tail.
Teachers don’t like windy weather either. I was thinking about windy days at school and the daft things you all get up to in the yard, just because of the wind. Like all screaming together when there is a big gust. Or putting coats and jumpers over your heads to act as parachutes.Or hoods on only, like Batman. Throwing handfuls of leaves into the air only to go into someone’s face. Shouting way louder because you think your friends can’t hear you talking. Squinting your eyes to see better. Or kicking the ball up to see if it gets blown onto the roof then immediately regretting it. Or just pretending you’ve been blown over and rolling around the ground until a teacher asks you to get up.
Then when you all come back into school with messy hair and red cheeks and way more energy than you went out with, I have a long list of children I need to speak to…….all because of windy weather behaviour!
So let’s hope for the sake of your mams and dads, that we have a calm and mellow Monday.

28.6.20 Have you missed anything?
Well last week was very busy!
Phase Two
Phase Two started with many more children coming into school. Lots resigned to come to school next week as well!
Next week continues into Phase Two Week 2. Text messages should have reached you to confirm your place. We attempted to keep groups and days the same wherever possible. This will be the last week of Phase Two.
Sign up forms will be live early in the week for the last two weeks.
Key Workers
We are full everyday next week. If you are using the care for the first time, you need to provide evidence of your key worker status on your first visit if not before. Check the government lists to make sure. Key Workers enter via the main entrance.
The sign up form for the last two weeks will be live early in the week.
Phase Three
Our plans for Phase Three were launched on Friday. A chance for Years 2,3,4 and 5 to have some time back with their teacher before the end of term. Sign up closes lunchtime Tuesday. See previous posts for the link and info.
Please note, children can only use one form of care each week. However, if you know that you will need 3 to 4 days then complete the Key worker form as well. I will add a section for you to explain your needs between Phase Three and Key Worker on the form.
Work Packs
Lots of staff have been out and about delivering the last of the packs for the term and more will follow this week. We know how hard this is, so don’t worry if you aren’t getting through lots of work. Just do what you can.
Staff Video
We posted our second staff video – some staff had to attend a socially distanced assembly! If you haven’t already, please have a look!
School Closures
We also announced that school will be closed to all pupils on Friday 10th July and Friday 17th July.
This includes key worker places for those two weeks. The summer holidays also start on Friday 17th July.
Enjoy the last part of the week and we will see you soon!
Stay safe.
