We know that a huge part of many family traditions is going to the pantomime at Christmas time and we also know how appreciated our Customs House Theatre is to our town. We would like to support our little theatre with the big heart and also bring a little bit of panto spirit to our children.
On Wednesday 9th December children from nursery to Year 6 will have the opportunity to watch this years performance featuring the one and only Arbuthnot and Dame Bella, all we ask is that you donate £1 using our parent pay app. All of the money raised will be sent directly to The Customs House Charity, who provide many educational and social opportunities for all ages in our town.

This year we are trying to achieve Gold status in the Wild Challenge provided by the RSPB. This showcases the enhanced activities we do at Mortimer as part of our Science curriculum. Mrs Mackay wants the whole school to be involved so over the course of this academic year each class will complete at least one activity in school which will contribute towards achieving the top award.
Already this year we have completed Kennings in Year 4, Reception have kept a watch on the weather, Year 5 have dissected flower heads and presented their findings as a display and we have had another big tree plant on the turning circle to name a few.
Many more activities are planned for the next two terms but this term we are proud to say that we have submitted enough activities to hopefully be awarded a bronze certificate. Our entries are currently being checked by the RSPB but Mrs Mackay is confident we will be successful.
