Football Visitors

Our KS2 children enjoyed an assembly with a difference today when Jon King and Julio Arca came in to discuss holiday football camps which are run at Mortimer CA. They also mentioned their ‘Wizard Camp’ for football skills which runs on a Wednesday at Mortimer CA.

For more information please see leaflets which KS2 children will be bringing home. Holiday camps are suitable for children aged 4 to 14 and are for girls and boys.

Be safe, be seen!

Thank you to Co-op Funeral Care for providing each of our Nursery, Y3 and Y4 children a ‘Be safe, be seen’ reflective badge to help promote being safe as the dark nights approach.

Over the past 5 years they have given out over 160,000 badges to 1,500 schools and youth groups. Click here for more information.

Mortimer Wins Silver

The school was delighted to receive Silver yet again for the the School Games Award. This recognises the school’s commitment to physical activity and competitive sport.

Football Teams

Both our A and B Team football squad were in action last week. The A Team were particularly successful scoring victories over Ashley and Westoe Crown.

5PM concluded their recent fencing lessons with a very exciting competition. The children were divided into two teams: the Fierce Fighters versus the Fire Blasters. At the end, both teams were drawn. In a nail biting deciding bout, the Fire Blasters were victorious.

Schools Prom at the City Hall

Many thanks to all the parents and family who came along to support us, I am sure that, like me, you are very proud of our children. Well done!!
